ECAUCUS, N.J. (AP) - Former Auburn All-American DeWanna Bonner
was selected fifth overall in the WNBA Draft by the Phoenix
Bonner is the Tigers' highest WNBA draft pick. Bonner was the Southeastern Conference player of the year and finished her career as Auburn's all-time leading scorer.
Point guard Whitney Boddie was also taken in the seventh pick of the second round Thursday by Sacramento. Boddie was the 20th overall selection.
This is the first time two Auburn players have been chosen in the WNBA draft.
