TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - University of Alabama student football
tickets went on sale at 7 a.m. Monday and all 11,000 packages were
sold by 8:11 a.m.
SGA Chief of Staff Richard Byrd said that sellout was an hour
faster than last year when tickets were all sold by 9:15 a.m.
Monday's sale was largely similar to last year. Byrd said the
SGA worked with the athletic department to improve the security
features that caused many students to be locked out of the system
last year, but that problem still drew complaints Monday.
Officials also encouraged students to pre-register with
www.rolltide.com to streamline the ticket purchasing process.
Overall, Byrd said there were fewer complaints this year.
