TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Leonard Hamilton's been working with an
unsigned contract at Florida State the last couple years, but
that's about to change.

Florida State President T.K. Wetherell and Athletic Director
Randy Spetman acknowledged Tuesday that they were working on an
extension for Hamilton they hope all parties will sign after the
season.

"I'm convinced Leonard will be back at Florida State and be a
happy, happy, happy camper," Wetherell said. "I don't see Leonard
going anywhere. I can see a number of people probably want him, but
why would you want to leave what we've got here?"

Hamilton, 60, is 131-95 at Florida State as he wraps up his
seventh season at the school by taking the Seminoles to their first
NCAA tournament since 1998.
