A couple more local teams hit the court today at the BJCC for their state semifinal games. The Andalusia Bulldogs had a Class 4A affair against Anniston.
Andalusia Coach Richard Robertson has been at Andalusia for over three decades, with tons of success. But, there's been a little drought for the dogs since they last won the state title back in 1996.
How would they fair this afternoon? The Dogs comes up short, losing 79-68 to Anniston. Brandon Simms led the Dogs with 21 points. Nico Johnson chipped in with 18 points and 13 rebounds.
Andalusia's incredible season ends at 26-3.
Meanwhile, the Andalusia girls also faced Anniston. The Lady Dogs fall 60-41. Chantavia Lawrence scored 13. Alexis Horton added 11 in the losing effort. Anniston moves on to face Deshler.
Andalusia ends the year at 25-and-4.
