AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - The coaches let Sen'Derrick Marks know of
his ascension to number one at defensive tackle in the middle of a
recent practice.
Marks says seeing his name at the top of the depth chart was a
shock but - quote -- "if they think I can do it, I'm ready for
it."
But he isn't a lock at starter. Sophomore Pat Sims is still battling for the job.
Defensive line coach Don Dunn says it's back and forth between
the two.
Sims got a setback when he had to have a fingernail removed Monday because of an injury. Dunn said both would see considerable
playing time.
