Auburn holds off SE Louisiana 77-65

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - DeWayne Reed scored 20 points and Auburn held off Southeastern Louisiana 77-65 on Wednesday night for the Tigers' sixth straight win.

The winning streak is the longest in Jeff Lebo's five seasons coaching at Auburn (9-4).

The Tigers led 39-34 at halftime, but the Lions (6-6) tied the game at 43 on a Chris Cyprian 3-pointer with 17:36 left and pulled ahead on Kevyn Green's 3-pointer.

After Auburn regained a six-point advantage with 11:29 remaining, Southeastern Louisiana held the Tigers scoreless for the next five minutes, closing to 59-56.

Auburn went on a 9-2 run and sealed the win in the last 3:44 by making 9 of 10 free throws. The Tigers made 27 of 39 free throws for the game.

Lucas Hargrove scored 13 points for the Tigers and Tay Waller had 12. Korvotney Barber added 10 points and 16 rebounds.

Green led the Lions with 17 points.
