LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) - Sherell Hobbs scored five of her 20 points
during an 11-0 run in the second half and No. 14 Auburn pulled away
from a 41-all tie to beat Liberty 64-53 on Sunday.
The Tigers (10-0), just the second team from the Southeastern Conference to play at the Vines Center on Liberty's campus, went on
two long runs in the game, erasing a 10-point deficit with a 15-0 burst in the first half and then the one to take command down the stretch.
Liberty (1-6), lost its fifth straight, all since top player Megan Frazee sprained an ankle. Moriah Frazee, one of the Frazee triplets, led the Lady Flames with 14 points and seven rebounds. Amber Mays added 13 points and Rachel Hammond had 10.
