TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Two Florida State freshman wide
receivers have been arrested on misdemeanor battery charges
stemming from a fight in the student union two weeks ago.
University officials say Bert Reed and Cameron Wade turned
themselves in at the Leon County Jail on Wednesday and were
released after posting bond.
Both were suspended for Florida State's game against Boston
College on Nov. 15 along with three other players who participated
in the fight. No suspensions have been announced for the Seminoles
game Saturday against Florida. Neither player is a starter.
Campus police say they are still investigating the fight between
football players and members of a fraternity Nov. 12 and there may
be more charges.
