Saban Likes "Complete Game" Effort

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Alabama coach Nick Saban isn't worried
about style points or the national rankings.

Saban said Monday he just wants his team to play its best. He finally got a complete game out of the second-ranked Crimson Tide in a 29-9 win at Tennessee after suffering some second-half lapses.

As for the rankings, Saban calls those external factors that are mostly for the media and fans at this point. The Tide is second in the Bowl Championship Series rankings behind Texas and just ahead of Penn State. All three teams are unbeaten.

Saban said he has long been an advocate of adding a plus-one game after the regular bowls to decide the national title.

The Tide hosts Arkansas State on Saturday.
