EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) - The New York Giants are changing
place-kickers, at least according to Lawrence Tynes. Tynes, a former Troy University standout, has been sidelined since training camp with an injured left knee that required arthroscopic surgery.
He said Wednesday that the coaching staff told him last week that he will replace John Carney against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.
Tynes hurt his knee in early August.
