The Vanderbilt Commodores are led on offense by Brundidge native Chris Nickson. The former Mister Alabama Football is putting up solid numbers at quarterback for the ‘Dores.
He's passed for nearly 300 yards and rushed for nearly 300 hundred more with eight total touchdowns. Those certainly are not huge stats. But, Nickson hasn't thrown an interception all season long.
Nickson hopes to lead the ‘Dores to their first 5-0 start since 1943.
“I wouldn't recommend anybody to overlook us,” Nickson said. “We have alot of talent here. We have a good strategy and great coaching staff. We can do things. As long as we don't make to many mistakes and come out and get over our heads. I feel like we can take advantage of anybody in the S.E.C. and in the nation."
Vanderbilt hosts Auburn at 5:00 p.m. Saturday in Nashville. You can see the game on WTVY News-4.
