AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - The Auburn Tigers are trying to fit their
offense to the personnel, not the other way around.
Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville said Tuesday the 13th-ranked
Tigers won't necessarily be able to run all of Tony Franklin's
offense until they have the right kind of personnel.
The Tigers' adjustment to the up-tempo spread offense has been
rocky. The quarterback situation remains unsettled after five games
and the offense ranks in the bottom half of the Southeastern
Conference in all the major statistical categories.
Franklin said it's his job to find out what his players can do.
He said adjusting to your talent is part of coaching.
The Tigers play at No. 19 Vanderbilt Saturday. The Commodores
are last in the league in total defense.
