Trojans Ready for Buckeyes

Fresh off a 65-nothing win at home, the Troy Trojans head back on the road this saturday...into the “Horse-Shoe” to play Ohio State. These Trojans hope to duplicate what the USC Trojans did just 48 hours ago.

But the Buckeyes will have a little extra something to prove this week.
"Of course, I'm sure they'll be hungry as well," says Troy linebacker Terence Moore. "After getting beat 35-3...they're a pretty good football team."
"Just getting beat period, I'm sure teams will wanna come out and prove themself again the next week," adds Troy defensive back Sherrod Martin. "So I'm pretty sure they'll be fired up and ready."

The same can be said for Troy, although the source of motivation is different. A blowout victory over Alcorn State came at the right time—a confidence-builder for the trip to Columbus.
"That game went along as planned, and that was a good thing to happen, says Troy coach Larry Blakeney"

What happened was the Trojans' offense exploded, setting school records in yardage and first downs. That performance, combined with Ohio State's unimpressive showings the past two weeks has Troy believing Jim Tressel's guys won't take this game for granted.
"They know how we're definitely a team who can come in there and get a win. And especially if they don't turn something around, I'll think they'll be ready, adds linebacker Bear Woods"
"I think they do have respect for us. I think we made a statement," adds Moore.

This week, that statement will be much tougher to make.
In the last eight years, the Buckeyes have lost just *one* home non-conference game--and that was to the eventual national champion Texas Longhorns. The Trojans get their crack on Saturday at 11 am.
