BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Kentucky quarterback Mike Hartline,
Georgia linebacker Rennie Curran and LSU return man Trindon
Holliday are the Southeastern Conference players of the week.
Hartline earned offensive honors with 254 yards passing and two
touchdowns. He completed the game-winning touchdown pass to
Derrick Locke and set up a late field goal in a 20-14 win over Middle
Curran had six tackles, a sack and a forced fumble on the goal
line in Georgia's 14-7 win at South Carolina.
Holliday earned special teams honors with a 92-yard punt return
for a touchdown against North Texas.
Tennessee's Chris Scott was offensive lineman of the week and
Mississippi State's Jessie Bowman was the top defensive lineman.
Alabama receiver Julio Jones was freshman of the week. Jones caught 5 passes for 66 yards and a touchdown in Alabama's win over Western Kentucky Saturday.
