BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Georgia running back Knowshon Moreno was named the Southeaster Conference offensive player of the week.
The SEC gave defensive honors to Vanderbilt linebacker Patrick Benoist. Alabama return man Javier Arenas won special teams honors.
Moreno ran for 168 yards on 18 carries and a career high tying 3 touchdowns in Saturday's win over Central Michigan.
Benoist had 15 tackles in a career best performance against South Carolina.
Arenas had five punt returns for a school-record 147 yards and a touchdown against Tulane.
Auburn's Jason Bosley was the offensive lineman of the week for his play against Southern Miss.
Florida's Jermaine Cunningham was named the top defensive lineman.
Wide receiver Joe Adams of Arkansas was SEC freshman of the week.
