MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - A former Shaw High School football star who later played for Auburn University and the Dallas Cowboys has been arrested on drug charges.
Mobile County Sheriff's deputies arrested 31-year-old Leonardo Tremayene Carson Tuesday night. Deputies charged Carson with possessing a controlled substance and making harassing communications, a charge for which he had an outstanding warrant.
He was released from the county jail on bail totaling $3,500.
Deputies also arrested Carson's younger brother, 25-year-old Wilbert Carson, also a former star player at Shaw. He was charged with marijuana possession and released on $2,500 in bail.
Deputies charged 35-year-old Kareem Cook with marijuana possession and trafficking cocaine.
He's being held without bail.
Efforts to reach Cook's attorney was unsuccessful Thursday afternoon.
