Let's keep rolling along on our countdown to kickoff. Down in Bonifay, Holmes County is looking to rebound from a rough 2007 campaign. The Blue Devils had just a single win. Head Coach Carlen Martin takes over the program this year.
It's Martin’s first head football coaching job, at his alma mater. So, the stakes are high.
"It does have a little different meaning for me,” Martin said. “We're coming into a situation where the program has been down the last 3 or 4 years. So, I feel like as a new coach, I'm really coming into a good situation. There's nowhere to go but up."
Holmes County opens the season against Jay in Bonifay. That's on September 5th.
