TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Running back Tavares Pressley has been
officially admitted to Florida State.
He received academic clearance to join the Seminoles practice on Tuesday.
Pressley, a junior-college transfer from El Camino Community College, missed the first two weeks of fall camp while school officials awaited word on his academic eligibility. Pressley is expected to challenge returning starter Antone Smith for playing time at tailback.
Pressley rushed for 832 yards and 11 touchdowns last season for El Camino, where he played with another highly touted junior-college transfer FSU signed, wide receiver Corey Surrency.
