Tuberville Says Tigers Look Sluggish

The Auburn Tigers held their second and final scrimmage of the preseason. The Tigers ran some 90 plays and 30 kicking plays at Jordan-Hare Stadium Saturday. It was the 15th consecutive day they have practiced in preparation for the season opener Aug. 30 against
Louisiana-Monroe.
Auburn got good news Saturday when the team was ranked 10th in
the Associated Press preseason poll.
Coach Tommy Tuberville said the offense started out fast but the
defense picked up as the scrimmage went along. He said the players
were understandably sluggish coming out of two-a-day practices.
The scrimmage was closed to the public and no statistics were released.
