As we continue our high school football countdown to kick-off, we look at the Andalusia Bulldogs, who are ready to avenge that blowout loss in last year's state quarterfinals to Tuscaloosa-Central.
Senior Linebacker Nico Johnson will be a big part of that plan.
When we spoke to head coach Bryan Seymore about it--he said Nico will see even more time on the field this year on the *other-side* of the ball.
Of course, he'll be anchoring a stout Bulldog defense as well.
"He's a dynamic player," Seymore says. "He's 6'3", 232 pounds. I wouldn't trade him for anybody. He's a great linebacker. We're even gonna try him on offense this year. He's got a great vertical leap. He's gonna make some Division-I program very happy one day."
Johnson's got plenty of those programs from which to choose--about the half of the SEC, plus Clemson, Nebraska and Texas A&M among others.
