Pike Lib Tries to "Run" to the AISA Title

Let's continue our countdown to kickoff with a stop in Troy. The Pike Liberal Arts Patriots are trying to make a return run to the AISA playoffs.

The Patriots were just 4-6 in the regular season last year. But, they still earned a spot in the post-season.

This year's Patriots have several of their starters back. Head coach Steven Kilcrease will also have a stud in the backfield to rely on.

"We've got the leading rusher in the state in our association coming back, Jerrel Foster,” Kilcrease said. “He finished with just under 2000 yards last season. And, he broke the state record in our league with 422 yards in a game." The senior tailback is back to try and break even more state records.

The Patriots open the season at home against Morgan Academy on August 29th.
