The Eufaula Tigers are in the spotlight as we continue to countdown to kickoff. The Tigers hope to return to power in class 5A.

Eufaula made it to the playoffs last season. They came up short against UMS Wright in the second round. Their 9-3 campaign came on the heels of their state title game appearance in 2006.

This year's squad is returning their starting quarterback and four different running backs with experience.

Coach Dan Klages says he hopes he has the players to make another playoff push.
"We have had a good run. Hopefully, some players that have been a part of that will continue to step in those places and play at the level of the ones that played before them. We should have a chance to be good on defense. We have kids that can run and will hit you and be physical."

Eufaula will host Dothan High in the first game of the season on August 29th. Practice begins Monday.
