HOOVER, Ala. (AP)- Football, mission trips and a bid for a second Heisman Trophy were among Tim Tebow's topics at Southeastern Conference media days.
The Florida quarterback said Wednesday he's more worried about winning games than another Heisman.
Tebow was the marquee figure at media days on Day 1 at the Wynfrey Hotel in suburban Birmingham.
He also discussed mission trips he took to the Philippines, Thailand and Croatia after spring practice ended.
The mission work rubbed off on his coach. Urban Meyer took a mission trip with his wife and three children to the Dominican Republic in early July.
As for his football team, Meyer said the Gators have plenty of talent. He's still waiting to see how the chemistry and leadership develop.
