BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Bruce Arians has long since moved on from the infamous play that helped cost Alabama an Iron Bowl victory.

The former Crimson Tide offensive coordinator now holds the same post for the Pittsburgh Steelers. But Arians says people in Alabama still ask him about the screen pass to Ed Scissum late in the 1997 Iron Bowl.

Scissum had the ball jarred loose on the play and Auburn recovered to set up the game-winning field goal in an 18-17 victory.

Arians was in Birmingham this week with his son Jake's football camp at UAB's practice field.

He left the Tide after one season under coach Mike DuBose.

Arians says he doesn't regret the call because that could drive a coach crazy. Plus he points out, the ball wasn't intercepted.
