TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Alabama safety Rashad Johnson has been
named to the watch list for the Jim Thorpe Award.
The award goes to the nation's top defensive back each season.
Johnson was one of 40 players on the watch list, including eight from the Southeastern Conference.
He was a first-team All-SEC selection last season. Johnson led the league with six interceptions and was the Crimson Tide's top tackler.
Antonio Langham is the only Tide player to win the award.
