AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Auburn baseball player Hunter Morris has been named to the USA Baseball National Team. The former Grissom High School standout was one of 22 players chosen to play for the squad.

Morris, a first baseman, was the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Year.

The USA team opens play July 17 in the Czech Republic at the FISU World Collegiate Baseball Championship.

In 2006, Morris also played on the USA Baseball 18-and-under National Team in Cuba.
