(DOTHAN) The only difference between the Masters and the Future Masters are the ages of the competitors. The Future Masters boasts much younger faces. Both events are unlike any other in the country.

Media Day kicked off the 2013 Future Masters event at Dothan Country Club. Dr. Press Thornton, wife Evelyn and Tournament Director Kevin Klein got up to speak to media members and volunteers.

24 players are returning from last year's Top-10, including 15 players from the Wiregrass area.

Tournament Director Kevin Klein is entering his 10th year with the event and says what makes it special, among other things, are the bonds.

"It's like a family environment. All the volunteers make you feel so welcome here," said Klein.

"We grow up with the kids. We watch them come in, they get here when they're eight-nine years olf and they grow up and we enjoy having them," he said.
