T.O. missing as Cowboys start mandatory 3-day camp

IRVING, Texas (AP) - Terrell Owens wasn't on the field for the start of the Dallas Cowboys' mandatory offseason minicamp Tuesday. And the flamboyant receiver might not be around the rest of the week.

Team officials say Owens missed the first workout while tending to a personal matter. Owens did, however, attend meetings before leaving the Valley Ranch facility.

It's not clear what his personal matters are or if Owens will be on the field for any of the three-day minicamp.

Owens participated in optional workouts the past four weeks. The 34-year-old veteran was heading into the final year of his contract before recently signing a three-year extension worth around 27 million dollars.

Owens led the NFL with 13 touchdown catches in 2006 and had an NFC-best 15 more last year.
