AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - The Auburn Tigers had three players receive Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America honors.
Grant Dayton, Brian Fletcher and Hunter Morris made Auburn one of just three schools nationally to have three players selected by Collegiate Baseball. The team was released Wednesday.
Dayton was Auburn's ace, going 7-and-2 on the season and having the team's lowest ERA among starters.
Fletcher hit .324 with 10 homers and 42 RBI.
Morris hit a team-leading .351 with 11 homers and 49 RBIs. He was the SEC freshman of the year and a second-team All-SEC choice.
He was recently invited by USA Baseball to tryout for the 2008 National Team.
