LSU's Skip Bertman Released from Hospital

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - LSU athletic director and former baseball coach Skip Bertman has been released from the hospital.

He was admitted Saturday after experiencing what was described as the early signs of a heart attack. Doctors placed a stent in one of his
main arteries.

The 70-year-old Bertman is recuperating at home and, according to a school spokesman, plans to attend LSU's NCAA tournament games against California-Irvine next weekend.

Bertman led the Tigers' baseball team to five national titles. His term as athletic director ends June 30th.
