HOOVER, Ala. (AP) - Blake Dean and the LSU Tigers are hard to keep down these days.
A red-hot Dean hit a two-run homer and the Tigers scored the final seven runs to beat Mississippi 8-2 Sunday and claim their first Southeastern Conference tournament title since 2000 and seventh overall.
The win was a school-record 20th in a row for LSU (43-16-1), which took the lead with a five-run fifth. The streak matches Vanderbilt (2007) and South Carolina (2000) for second-longest in SEC history.
