Alabama's Smith and Auburn's Marks named to Playboy All-American team

UNDATED (AP) - Alabama's Andre Smith and Auburn's Sen'Derrick Marks have been named to the 52nd annual Playboy Preseasonn All-American Football team.

Smith, an offensive tackle, and Marks, a defensive tackle, were honored over the weekend in Phoenix.

Smith, a junior from Birmingham, is the first Crimson Tide player to be named to the team since Roman Harper in 2005. Marks, a junior from Mobile, is the first Tiger to win the honor since linebacker Karlos Dansby in 2003.

Smith has started all 26 games for Alabama over the last two seasons. He was a first team All-SEC selection last year and won the Jacobs Blocking Trophy as the most outstanding lineman in the conference as voted on by league coaches.

Marks has also started 26 consecutive games, with 82 tackles, including 20.0 for loss and 5.5 quarterback sacks.

Both players have been named to the Outland Trophy watch list.
