MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - State officials are touting 2008 as the "Year of Alabama Sports."

Gov. Bob Riley unveiled a brochure Monday coinciding with the 2008 Tourism Department Campaign. It includes information on everything from sports museums and NASCAR, to college and high school football, along with tennis, golf and fishing destinations.

Among the hot spots mentioned are the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame in Birmingham and the courses on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail.

The guide also lists more than 100 sports facts, events, destinations and attractions throughout the state.

Riley says the 24-page brochure "has something for every sports enthusiast."
