Saban and Tuberville to show off golfing skills

GREENSBORO, Ga. (AP) - Alabama coach Nick Saban and Auburn's Tommy Tuberville will show off their golfing skills today at Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Georgia.

They will join other coaches who will be paired with a celebrity partner to compete in the Chick-fil-A Bowl Alma Mater. First prize is $350,000 purse, including $100,000 to the scholarship funds of the winning team's school.

13 teams will complete.

Saban will be paired with new Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez. Tuberville's celebrity partner is former Auburn quarterback and current Samford coach Pat Sullivan.

South Carolina's Steve Spurrier is paired with Colorado's Bill McCartney, and UCLA's Rick Neuheisel is paired with Jeff Jagodzinski of Boston College. New Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson will be paired with Virginia Tech's Frank Beamer.

Beamer and Dell Curry won last year's event for Virginia Tech.
