TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Pinch-hitter Tyler Odler and Brandon May both had RBI singles in the seventh inning to help Alabama take a 5-4 win Saturday over Auburn.
The Crimson Tide (24-20, 9-11 Southeastern Conference) scored three runs in the seventh Saturday to even the series heading into the finale.
Odle's bloop hit off reliever Michael Hurst scored Jake Smith, who had reached on a bunt single. Alabama entered the inning down 3-2. Josh Rutledge was hit by a pitch to load the bases with no outs after that.
May then lined a one-out RBI single to give Alabama a two-run lead.
The crowd of 6,459 fans was the fourth-largest in Sewell-Thomas Stadium history.
Auburn's Mike Bianucci homered in the eighth to make it 5-4, but the Tigers (24-20, 8-12) couldn't score again.
