TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - University of Alabama students quickly snapped up football tickets for the upcoming season.
Athletic department spokesman Doug Walker says the tickets sold out within two hours and 20 minutes after becoming available Tuesday.
The university makes 15,000 tickets available to students per game, but more than 27-hundred are three- and four-game passes reserved for incoming freshmen and transfers.
University spokeswoman Deborah Lane said there has been "significantly fewer" complaints from students who were unable to score tickets than last year.
She said the university has also established an online pool where students can buy and sell tickets for specific games.
