KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Jake Smith knocked in three runs to lead Alabama to a 11-10 victory over Tennessee in the first game of a double-header Saturday.
Alabama (20-15, 6-7 Southeastern Conference) held off a ninth-inning rally from Tennessee (20-13, 7-6) in a slugfest with seven home runs between the teams.
Will Stroup (4-1) picked up the win for Alabama and Vols' Nick Hernandez recorded the loss to set him back 1-2 on the season.
