LSU lands new coach

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Trent Johnson is the new men's basketball
coach at LSU. He's leaving Stanford for the Tigers' job.

In four seasons with Stanford, Johnson had a mark of 80-and-48. He led the Pac-10 school to the round of 16 in this year's NCAA tournment.

Johnson replaces interim coach Butch Pierre, who took over when John Brady was fired during the season.
