TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Alabama coach Mark Gottfried has granted guards Rico Pickett and Justin Tubbs release from their scholarships.
The releases enable the players to transfer.
Pickett started 20 games at point guard as a freshman and averaged nearly six points.
Tubbs averaged three points in 18 games.
The moves come after both Ronald Steele and Richard Hendrix have opted to explore their positions in the NBA draft. They are considering skipping their senior seasons.
