AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Trent Mummey, Hunter Morris and Joseph Sanders all had a three-hit night as Auburn beat Tennessee 12-6 Friday night.
Auburn's (17-9, 3-4 Southeastern Conference) offense collected eight runs through the first four innings as six Tigers collected multi-hit games. Mummey, Morris and Sanders combined for half of the Tigers' 12 runs.
Bryan Woodall (7) earned his seventh save of the season as he entered in the eighth with Auburn ahead 8-6 and runners on first and third and only one down. The SEC saves leader, he is now in 10th on Auburn's single-season and career saves list.
Grant Dayton (3-1) earned the win.
Steve Crnkovich (4-2) took the loss for Tennessee (15-8, 4-3 SEC), allowing eight runs (four earned) on 10 hits in 4.0 innings.
The two teams meet again for the second game of the three-game series on Saturday at 3 p.m.
