AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Joseph Sanders had his second career grand slam to cap an eight-run fourth inning and help Auburn to a 14-6 win over Samford Wednesday night.
Sanders' slam completed Auburn's highest-scoring inning of the season so far as the Tigers (16-9) scored on four hits, two errors and two walks to take a 10-3 lead heading to the home half of the fourth.
Matt Hall finished the night 3-for-4 with a double, RBI and three runs scored for Auburn.
Bradley Hendrix earned his first career win with a solid four inning relief outing, allowing one run on three hits, striking out a career-high six.
Joshua VanFleteren (1-1) took the loss for Samford (12-8), allowing all eight of Auburn's runs in the fourth.
