Auburn's Tuberville to join other coaches on Middle East tour

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Auburn football coach Tommy Tuberville will join four other college football coaches on a tour of military bases in the Middle East in May.

The May 20th-26th tour is the first of its kind for NCAA football and Armed Forces Entertainment.

Tuberville said he is looking forward to meeting the troops. He said they have made so many sacrifices for the country and this is a small way for him to thank them.

The coaches will meet soldiers at various bases and will coach flag football teams made up of servicemen and women. They will also host symposiums with an opportunity for questions from the audience.

Joining Tuberville will be Mark Richt of Georgia, Randy Shannon of Miami (Florida), Jack Siedlecki of Yale and Charlie Weis of Notre Dame.
