AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Collin Cowgill's centerfield catch ended the eighth inning with a game-tying run on base as Kentucky beat Auburn 9-8 on Sunday.
Kentucky (20-2, 4-2 Southeastern Conference) had a seven-run lead going into the seventh inning, but saw the Tigers put up five runs in the seventh and one run in the eighth for a dramatic end to the series.
Auburn (14-9, 2-4 SEC) won the first two games of the series.
Brock Baber (1-0) picked up the win in relief for Kentucky, throwing the final furious 2.1 innings. Luke Greinke (2-2) took the loss, working three innings and giving up five runs and six hits.
