Auburn 6, Troy 4

TROY, Ala. (AP) - Ben Jones had a two-out, two-strike RBI in the top of the ninth that scored two runs to break up a tie game as Auburn beat Troy 6-4 last night.

Jones went 2-for-2, scoring the game-tying run in the eighth on Matt Hall's RBI double before getting the game-winning hit in the ninth.

Evan Crawford (3-0) picked up the win for Auburn (12-8), throwing 2.1 innings of scoreless relief, walking two and striking out two. Bryan Woodall had his fourth save of the season.

Luke Greinke pitched 5.0 innings and allowed only one unearned run on four hits and two walks. He retired the last eight hitters he faced and got nine groundouts.

A.J. Howard (3-1) took the loss for Troy.
