Kennedy Winston is hoping his decision to leave Alabama early will pay off.

The former Crimson Tide star says he's confident he's done his part to secure a first-round selection in tomorrow night's NBA draft.

Winston skipped his senior season to enter the draft.

The 6-foot-6 shooting guard worked out for 10 NBA teams in recent weeks. Coach Mark Gottfried says his former player got positive reviews after the workouts.

UAB guard Donell Taylor also could be picked in the draft and is projected as a late second-round pick or free agent.
