Daleville running back Brandon Burks signed with Troy University in February.
Now one of Burks' former high school teammates is preparing to become one of his chief rivals on the college level.
Warhawks safety Roman Buchanan verbally committed to the South Alabama Jaguars earlier this week.
Buchanan had 76 tackles and two interceptions last year, as well as a blocked a field goal.
South Alabama will play its first full season at the FBS level in 2013, and Buchanan wants to make that transition a successful one for his new school.
