This Could be Year Sun Belt Gets Two NCAA Tourney Teams

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - March Madness has given way to March Sadness over the last 15 years for the Sun Belt Conference.

Once one of the premiere mid-major conferences in the country, the SBC hasn't had an at-large berth in the NCAA tournament since 1994.

But with Western Kentucky and South Alabama already at 21 wins and counting, the conference race may be good enough to help restore the league's reputation in the eyes of the tournament selection committee.

Western Kentucky coach Darrin Horn says the league deserves multiple bids to the tourney.

The Hilltoppers just missed the tourney two years ago, and Horn says he uses it to motivate the current team.
