DENTON, Texas (AP) - Collin Dennis scored a career-high 34 points to lead North Texas to a 90-64 win over Troy last night.
Dennis was 12-of-20 from the field, including 4-of-9 from the free-throw line. He hit 6-of-8 3-point attempts.
Tristan Thompson scored 13 points, while Ben Bell and Quincy Williams added 10 apiece for the Mean Green (16-9, 7-7 Sun Belt Conference).
Kenny Ware had 16 points to lead the Trojans (10-16, 3-12), who lost their fifth straight. Justin Jonus and Brandon Hazzard scored 10 points each.
North Texas outrebounded Troy 52-33. The Mean Green shot 49 percent from the field while the Trojans shot just 29 percent.
