AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Dewanna Bonner led Auburn with 19 points in a 74-49 victory against Alabama last night.
It was Auburn's (17-4, 5-4 Southeastern Conference) seventh straight home victory against Alabama (8-17, 1-9) while the Crimson Tide suffered its ninth straight loss.
The win pushes Auburn to a 5-4 SEC record, the first time the Tigers have been above .500 in league play in coach Nell Fortner's four-season tenure.
Bonner also had eight rebounds and a career-high seven assists and five blocked shots. Sherell Hobbs added 16 points, eight rebounds and four steals. Alli Smalley also had 15 points for the Tigers.
Dedrea Magee led Alabama with 14 points and five steals. Courtney Strauthers added 12 points while Jenkins finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Crimson Tide.
