Auburn, Alabama Try to Wrap up Recruiting Classes

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Alabama coach Nick Saban received an addition to his already impressive recruiting class today.

But mostly he and Auburn's Tommy Tuberville could do little but wait.

Both were awaiting decisions from prized recruits leading up to national signing day Wednesday.

That's the first day for high school players to sign letters of intent with their college choice.

The Crimson Tide got a pledge from athlete Mark Ingram of Flint, Michigan. It's the team's 29th nonbinding verbal commitment.

In the state, Foley wide receiver Julio Jones and Gadsden linebacker Jerrell Harris, both Parade All-Americans, were among the coveted players who planned to announce their decisions on signing day.
